Operation

Running Instructions
The EFB-2 or ERB-2 Check Valve is deployed using an EC-1 Running Tool. The valve is lowered to the desired location and secured by downward jarring, which shears the pins attaching it to the running tool. Once in place, the EC-1 Running Tool is retrieved, leaving the Check Valve correctly positioned. The valve can be run into fluid without issue, as the ball remains unseated during descent.

Pulling Instructions
To retrieve the Check Valve, an ERB Pulling Tool is deployed downhole. The tool latches onto the valve’s external fish neck, and upward force shears the brass set screws, enabling fluid to bypass through the valve’s interior. This process allows for safe and efficient retrieval of the Check Valve.
